EMERGE AT AUBURN
My Experience
EMERGE at Auburn is a 3 year program designed to help students develop skills to lead on campus, in the community, and in their future career field. Through the three years we will learn to be socially conscious, ethical, and thoughtful leaders to be prepared to engage and contribute to our communities
SOAR PROJECT
The second year of Emerge, Spark, focuses on servant leadership, ethical, and equitable leadership. As participants we were challenged to aid a part of the community by applying the weekly topics we talked about during the semester. My group chose to focus on beautification and built a bench for a butterfly garden in a local nursing home. The residents loved it, and some of them started singing for us!
TRANSFORM
The third and final year of Emerge is Transform, and it focuses on helping us develop ourselves for our future career field. We were given amazing opportunities like a networking event with Delta, creating an e-portfolio, and having an Etiquette Dinner to help us learn how to conduct ourselves during a formal business dinner setting. All of these opportunities allowed us to grow and be ready to apply these skills to finding a job in the future.
